Ray H. Case, 73, of Kalamazoo, passed away on April 9, 2025 at Provision Living of Oshtemo. Ray was born on November 7, 1951 in Iron Mountain, Michigan, the son of Howard and Mary Ann (Mottes) Case. Ray was a Veteran having served in the US Navy. Upon his honorable discharge, he earned an associate’s degree and became a Journeyman Electrician. His work was his life and his passion. He spent a majority of his career and time working for American Axle in Three Rivers, which became his work family. He was so dedicated to his profession and his employer, in his 30 years of service, he never called in sick.
Ray was preceded in death by his father, Howard; a daughter, Heather Case; a brother, Larry E. Case and a sister, Lynn M. Case. Ray is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Case; a son, Bob Case; a brother, Jeffery (Dawn) Case and a sister Lori (John Farmer) Stanaszek; and several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Ray’s wishes, cremation has taken place. He will be laid to rest with full military honors at 11 AM on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Road, Augusta, MI 49012. Memorial contributions may be made to the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars or YWCA Women’s Shelter.
