Maria G. Galicia Vega

Maria G. Galicia Vega of Kalamazoo, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at home. Maria was born August 5, 1928 in Penjamo, Guanajuato, Mexico the daughter of Juan and Maria (Vega) Galicia. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was united in marriage to Carmen Montoya who preceded her in death. Surviving are three sons, Vicente (Eloisa) Montoya of Kalamazoo, Luis (Arcelia) Montoya of Idaho, Enrique (Francisca) Montoya of Kalamazoo; daughter, Elena (Antonio) Mosqueda) of Mexico; 23 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters in Mexico. Friends will be received Monday January 5, 2015 3-5 pm at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home, 2300 East “G” Avenue Parchment, MI 49004 (269) 349-7735. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Msgr. Michael Hazard, Celebrant. Interment will be in Mt.
